"Israel from the Inside" is about stepping outside the echo chamber.
It's for people who want to read about Israel in a nuanced way, without all the extremism or toxicity, who are interested in the wide array of views that make up the mosaic of Israeli life.
About Israel from the Inside with Daniel Gordis
Welcome to Israel from the Inside with Daniel Gordis, the blog that I’ve been writing for twenty years, which I’m now migrating to Substack. Israel from the Inside is for people who want to understand Israel and Israelis, away from all the toxicity of the headlines. It’s for people who believe that Israel is neither hopelessly flawed nor beyond critique, but rather, a fascinating stage on which the Jewish people is working to recreate itself.
Daniel Gordis is Koret Distinguished Fellow at Shalem College and the author of twelve books (two of which have won the National Jewish Book Award) including the award-winning Israel: A Concise History of a Nation Reborn. His most recent book is We Stand Divided: The Rift between American Jews and Israel.
