I actually like that Israel has no "districting" for the Knesset. The country needs to be held together somehow rather than fracturing off into regional-sectional blocs. Even if we have sectional parties anyway, better that a secular party can try to win a vote in the kibbutzim or in Tel-Aviv, or a Haredi party in the Golan Heights or Bnei Brak.
Excellent interview. The point about "reasonableness" in court decisions was particularly enlightening, but I wonder what could be the alternative, given the blatant abuse of this tool by the HC. Hopefully future negotiations will arrive at a middle ground.
