With Rosh Hashanah still in the rear view mirror and Shabbat just around the corner, a quick glimpse at Rosh Hashanah eve at the once devastated Kibbutz Nir Oz. And other beginnings, too.
1) I did notice a bottle of wine on a table at Nir Oz -- doesn't mean that they made kiddush, but you never know.
2) Organizations sent most of the R"H cards I received this year. I sent a few e-cards. I'll answer the one I received (a good friend I've been thinking about), & will send another to someone who is now off-line.
3) Barbers/haircutters might be worth a story... your's is quite colorful; my late brother's barber once was the barber for the king of Morocco.
We have been sending photo Shana Tova cards for over 20 years. Sometimes we include photos of ourselves in Israel. In the US there are several major card companies that print a selection of designs. It must be worth it to them.
