"The glass is a quarter full ... and somehow, we're still here."
Kan TV did a long "public-morale service announcement" on Israeli TV recently, and on this eve of Yom Kippur, we share it with you ....
With Yom Kippur only a few hours away here in Israel,
we wish all our readers and listeners a much, much better year ahead.
As the new year began, Kan TV posted on its X feed a message of optimism, reminding us that we shouldn’t forget to look at the quarter of the glass that’s still full. That phrasing, we thought, spoke volumes.
If you listen carefully, you’ll hear—there’s a very uniquely and distinctly Israeli worldview here.
Wishes for a meaningful Yom Kippur, a G’mar Chatimah Tovah and much brighter days for us all.
Shanna Tovah, G’mar Chatimah Tovah.
