I found the interview very interesting. I just bought his book and I intend to read it. Although I should perhaps wait until I have read the book to make any comments, that might take a long time (I am a slow reader) so I thought I would make two points.

First, when he says that there has been no treatment of the impact of all men are created equal upon the history of the west. I wonder why he did not mention “Created Equal: How the Bible Broke with Ancient Political Thought”, by Joshua A. Berman.

Second, I think the unequivocal endorsement of classical liberalism fails to take into account critiques such as those by Michael Sendel in his book “Liberalism and the Limits of Justice”, as well as, from a Jewish point of view, the point made by R. Ahron Lichtenstein. See, for example, the article “Individual Rights in Halakah”, that can be accessed at https://etzion.org.il/en/halakha/studies-halakha/laws-state-and-society/individual-rights-halakha.
