Watch now | The mother of one of the hostages speaks to the soldiers who accidentally killed her son, while another young man leaves behind a letter that his family just received.
Iris Haim is a beautiful soul. She is correct, we are not separated because of different beliefs, we are of one religion … the beauty and the kindness and the hope of her words are part of who we are and who we must always be. Thank you for reminding us. Her words to the young soldiers who fell her son, are amazing. Iris understands. She also knows there will always be difficult days ahead. War is hell. I pray every day for the well being of all of our soldiers and the people of Israel.
And to the family Sgt Shay Arvada - he understood, somehow that his days might be numbered, and wanted to make sure to bring comfort to his family. … Thank you and your family for sharing his beautiful words.
We will always mourn, but we must remember to celebrate that these soldiers lived and gave of themselves in many ways, including the ultimate sacrifice. May their memories, and all who we have lost, be a blessing to those who knew them, loved them and miss them. Am Yisroel Chai.
I wanted to erase your comment Tariq. I feel it is wrong on so many levels but let me just say this. If you condemn the acts of Hamas, i will talk about freeing Gazans all day long. Are you willing to do that?
Can we please bring the comments back to the beauty and compassion of this incredible woman Iris Haim, whose family deserve all the love and compassion she engenders... Leave the hate to Tariq and his ilk.

Let the hypocrites and haters make their accusations, pass their resolutions, and disrupt civil discourse in their pious rage. Israel is showing its strength and humanity in the face of evil. What matters is for Israelis and their friends, and there are many, who want to see a better world to be resolute to remove evil so good can emerge for both the Israelis and Palestinians. Now is the time for both peoples to "revision" a better future by "disenthralling" themselves from the conventional assumptions of the past.
Zionism is not racism. Perhaps you need to read Daniel’s posts more carefully instead of simply posting hateful rhetoric that does nothing to bring about peace
Disgusting comment, Tariq. We don't say or even think our lives are more important than any other lives. We express our empathy and our genuine pain for the loss of innocent Palestinian lives and also for the loss of the innocence of so many Palestinians who have been corrupted by a brainwashing from birth into the depth of hatred you express here. I pity you the poverty and meanness of your spirit and lament your folly in choosing 'leaders' who have built nothing, and only brought down disaster on your people's heads, generation after generation.
Amazingly, you pay a subscription price to be on here and spew nonsense. You would do well to read Daniel's most recent book which gives historical context to the conflict. No people and no country is perfect. But this is a fight of good vs. evil and, if you can't recognize which is which, you are not going to be repaired here. Suffice it to say that Hamas needs to be eradicated and if the world won't do it, Israel must.
Keep reading - maybe a light will come on. I'm curious, do you believe Jews have a right to life? Did we commit crimes by escaping antisemitism and resettling in our ancestral homeland from the late 1800s until the end of WWI? No displacement at that time. Let's start the discussion there.
Jewish/Israeli/Palestinian lives are all sacred…if only Palestinians and their leaders could share that worldview and moral concept. So far, they have failed this test and consigned Palestinians to misery and death, and Israelis too.
No one life is worth more than another. But one’s values certainly can be superior to another’s. As a nation, as a culture, Israel values the sanctity of life, productivity, and peace. The Palestinian community supports, in both word and (financial) deed, Shahids and destruction. Even before Israel went into Gaza (because they had not been occupying it) most Palestinians lived in poverty, being educated to hate Jews and Israel, while their corrupt leaders lived as billionaires in hotels abroad.

Tariq is naked to all (but himself)
Not worthy of a response
Thanks for the advice and for the laugh
I had just come to the same conclusion

Ignore this dirtbag troll. My guess he is posting comfortable lounge at Harvard or UPrenn
Or "it's a bot."
Again a comment that is designed to inflame not at all intended to be a part of the solution. Sad. Sad. Sad.
The only raciest ideology in the world is fundamentalist Islam!
It saddens me that you are so filled with hate.

Yawn keep lying & stay with your violent hyper-aggressive Islam (bad imitation of Judaism)
Does your moms basement have Wi-Fi and cable
The lies you believe are not uncommon today, so you are not alone in your hate and bigotry. May peace and truth some day enter your heart.

So Tariq, what makes you happy and joyous?
There we have it. Your no response extremist response confirms why this conflict continues.
