Watch now (6 mins) | An interview with children who survived Kibbutz Be'eri. A brief but charming conversation between a pilot in the air and his son in a tank on the ground below. (Plus a photo of Torah reading in Gaza.)
Here is interesting news about Haredim joining the fight.:
"Ultra-Orthodox Israelis Are Joining the Army Hamas’s atrocities spark a rethinking of the religious-secular status quo that dates back to 1948." By Yehoshua Pfeffer • Nov. 14, 2023
On several occasions in the past and in these comments, I have argued that the immunities and subsidies granted to the Haredim are one of Israel's biggest problems. I hope that the post war reformation of Israel includes obligating all hareim, male and female, to serve. As well as cutting off the subsidies that allow them to avoid working for a living.
Poor little kids, but so warm hearted and optimistic, despite their terrible experiences.
Here in the UK, our slippery politicians will be debating a call for a ceasefire, demanded - surprise, surprise- by the SNP.
If you have ever been a child you should see this. In their little voices filled with pain they speak truth to power. It hurts my heart.
This is just so heart wrenching and what beautiful children each and every one of them .To suffer that trauma and have the rational understanding that makes more logic than any person in power or Government. Optimistic for peace and yes the little girl is spot on . You can’t live like this .
