The reason I mention this issue is that anyone listening to your podcasts understands some of your thoughts that emerge as a quandary for all major issues, i.e. In the case for us Americans, Israel is its own nation state-and who are we, with all of the large moral issues we still face after 245 years of founding, to start preaching to other nations, including Israel, how to tackle their moral/political challenges? This question elevates to the surface of the cooking pot so to speak because as your guest, Rabbi Avidan Freedman noted, he thinks that issues like nation state arms trafficking for state profit are indeed not only profoundly morally corrupt for the country but more petrol for others, including the American Jewish diaspora, to become further disenfranchised or alienated from the story of the miracle of Israel. If indeed the Rabbi’s nexus of these issues is somewhat accurate, then one circles back to a dilemma of sorts-Does a change in political policy occur also due to pressure from the Jewish community living outside of Israel?

And before I forget, the 23 September episode on the Shabbat Project was just awesome (5+ stars!)
