We have all read and seen so much brutality in the last week, but somehow the line about the “dogs crying”in this piece gutted me. The tears flowed and flowed and keep flowing as I type this. I’ve heard of dogs howling, even wailing, but crying? Man’s best friend has more “humanity” than the Hamas barbarians. Our beloved pets are our witnesses. They--and we--are forever changed.
What organization will be responsible for rebuilding the kibbutzim along the Gaza border? I was a volunteer at Nir Am in 1973-4 and would like to contribute to their rebuilding. Thanks Carl Philips
It is a cynical thing to say, but i believe it: there are many more people in the world that would be greatly disturbed by photos and videos of the pets and other animals that suffered due to Hamas’s cruelty and barbarity, than they are of abuses against israelis.

This was not a pogrom or a Holocaust. Not barbarism or cannabilism.
Simply put this was a slaughter and a desecration of the sanctity of human life. In that way it is an attack on what is most holy and will be avenged.
